Where the embroidered shorts in this line work through texture and tonal match, this one works through contrast: a gold-bronze circular Ape Head woven patch on the left thigh, set against flat matte black cotton. The patch is visible from across the room. It does not ask you to look closely or find the right angle. This is BAPE's other register -- direct, legible, present.

The short itself is 440gsm custom cotton in flat black with a smooth surface. Relaxed fit, above-knee length, no camo, no graphic print. All the visual weight is carried by the single gold patch on the front and the branded woven label patch on the rear waist.

Front Panel

Clean black ground. Circular woven Ape Head patch on the left thigh: gold-bronze colourway with black Ape Head face detail, stitched edge, clear circular outline. High contrast against the black base -- the gold reads immediately without close inspection. Black double drawstring exits from a single centre point on the waistband, with silver-tipped cord ends visible at the front. Covered black elasticated waistband.

Back Panel

Single rear pocket. Exterior woven brand label patch at the upper rear waist, positioned above the pocket: white ground with Ape Head icon and brand text -- this is an external design element, not a sewn-in care label. The back panel is otherwise unmarked.

Interior woven label: *A Bathing Ape® / WORLD GONE MAD / 1993. Brown-tone inner drawstring cord visible at the label centre, distinct from the exterior black drawstring. Black cotton lining, wide black elasticated inner waistband.
