This is a solid-colour heavy cotton short with a single circular Ape Head embroidery badge on the left thigh -- the brand's primary mark, rendered in a tone-on-tone colourway: the embroidery thread matches the base fabric so closely that the badge reads primarily through texture rather than contrast. In direct light, the satin-stitch surface catches differently from the surrounding fabric and the Ape Head detail becomes visible. At distance or in flat light, the shorts read as clean, unbranded solids.

The fabric is 440gsm custom cotton -- the heaviest weight in this product line. The additional weight changes how the short sits and moves: more structure, more drape, a heavier hand feel. The fabric surface is smooth and flat, without the texture variation that lighter-weight cotton shows.

Beige

Warm sand/khaki tone. The Ape Head badge is embroidered in a gold-warm beige thread, closely matched to the base fabric. The badge is most visible when light rakes across the surface from the side -- the raised satin-stitch profile catches and separates from the flat ground. In diffuse light, the badge is close to invisible. Exposed elasticated waistband in matching beige.

Yellow

Pastel lemon yellow -- low saturation, leaning toward cream-yellow rather than saturated chartreuse. The Ape Head badge is embroidered in a deep charcoal-black thread -- slightly different in tone from the base, close enough to register as tone-on-tone at distance, readable as a badge on close inspection. The slight sheen difference between the satin-stitch embroidery and the matte cotton ground makes the Black colourway's badge the most consistently visible of the three.
