Three graphic elements on one garment, each with its own logic. The large arched "BATHING APE" collegiate text dominates the chest. A circular Ape Head badge holds the left chest. A yellow cartoon bee with "BAPE" sits at the right chest. None of the three elements are new to BAPE's visual vocabulary -- but this is the first piece in this line that assembles all three at once, and the contrast construction means the text colour shifts with the base while the bee stays yellow across every colourway.

380gsm cotton: lighter than the 420gsm crewnecks elsewhere in this line, with a softer hand, more drape, and less boxy structure retention. Still a substantial sweatshirt weight, but the fabric moves differently.

Gray

Heather melange base. "BATHING APE" arch in white fill with black outline. Left chest: black circular Ape Head badge, white face detail. Blue

Solid cobalt/royal blue base -- the most saturated ground colour in this product line. "BATHING APE" arch in white fill with black outline; white on cobalt blue is the highest-contrast text combination of the three colourways. Left chest: black Ape Head badge. Right chest: yellow bee, "BAPE" text. The yellow bee against cobalt blue produces the strongest complementary contrast in the line: blue and yellow sit on opposite sides of the colour wheel. The three-colour combination of cobalt, white, and yellow reads as clean, direct, and athletic.

Black

Flat matte black base. "BATHING APE" arch in blue fill with black outline -- the key contrast move on this colourway. The text changes from white (on grey and blue) to blue on the black ground, creating a deliberate two-colour graphic: blue letters, yellow bee, against black. This is the most intentional colour construction of the three: the blue text echoes the blue ground of the second colourway, while the yellow bee remains constant. Left chest: black Ape Head badge, barely visible against the black ground -- present but recessive.
