The Real Face Behind the Logo.

Every BAPE piece references the Ape. This FW25 tee shows it differently. Instead of the abstracted Ape Head icon, the graphic uses a photorealistic gorilla face — actual fur texture, actual eyes, actual anatomy — set inside the arched "A Bathing Ape" wordmark rendered in Old English blackletter. Not the clean varsity font. The gothic script shifts the register entirely: this is vintage, heavy, closer to a band tee or a medieval manuscript than to standard streetwear branding. The two versions read almost like different pieces. The Heather Grey base carries the ape face in deep charcoal tones, the fur detail sharp and present against the soft mottled ground.
