BAPE SS25 Shark Full-Zip Double Hood Hoodie — Color-Block Camo
The Whole Collection on One Jacket. Most of It Hidden.
Every other piece in this collection distributes camo across the entire surface. This one concentrates it. The body and sleeves are single-colour — plain black or heather grey, no print, no pattern, the silhouette of a standard full-zip hoodie. The camo appears in two locations only: inside the shark hood, where the yellow-base ABC Camo lines the inner panels and becomes visible when the zipper opens, and on the front pocket panel, where the same camo fabric is sewn as a single block across both pockets. Everywhere else is clean. The effect is not restraint for its own sake: it is the BAPE logic applied differently — the shark face and the camo exist on this jacket, but they wait until you look directly at them or until the zip moves.
The shark face on this version is embroidered. Where other colourways in the collection use a printed shark mouth, this piece uses raised embroidery for the mouth outline, the tooth borders, and the black frame — the construction is visible at close range as stacked thread rather than flat ink. The eyes are embroidered circles: white ground, solid red iris, no gradation. The effect is more object-like than a print — the shark face has physical presence on the hood in a way that photographic reproduction does not fully capture. Combined with the sculpted 3D double-hood structure, the result is a shark face that has both dimensional form and textile depth.
The camo used for the hood lining and pocket panel is yellow-base ABC Camo: a yellow ground with olive-green and deep forest-green patches, the warmest and most saturated version of the ABC pattern. On the Black colourway, the contrast between the black body and the yellow-green camo is the widest in the collection — the colour difference is maximal, and the camo reads as an accent colour rather than an all-over print. On the Gray colourway, the heather texture of the main fabric introduces a secondary material register: the grey body has visible fibre mix and soft surface interest, while the camo panel is flat and graphic, and the yellow undertone of the camo reads warmly against the cool heather ground.
Two Colourways
- Black: full black body and sleeves; yellow-base ABC Camo hood lining and double pocket panel; embroidered shark face with red-pupil eyes; maximum colour contrast between body and camo accent; the most wearable silhouette in the collection at a distance; the most distinctly BAPE up close
- Gray: heather grey body and sleeves (visible fibre texture); yellow-base ABC Camo hood lining and double pocket panel; embroidered shark face with red-pupil eyes; warm-toned contrast between grey body and yellow-green camo; the more approachable colour register of the two
