This is a fundamentally different construction from a smooth-face heavyweight trouser. The fabric here is a heathered cotton-blend fleece or loopback — the surface carries visible fiber mix, a classic marl texture where short fibers of different tones are blended together to produce a ground that reads as textured rather than uniform. Under direct light the surface reads as multi-tonal, with a soft, lived-in quality specific to cotton-dominant knits at weight. There is no surface sheen, no smoothness, no directional reflection: the fabric reads entirely by its texture.

The silhouette is relaxed straight — fuller through the thigh and hip than a slim-cut trouser, consistent in width from the knee to the ankle, with room to move without excess volume. The hem is a clean plain cut with no ribbing, no zip, no elastic: a flat open hem that sits at the ankle. This is the key structural distinction between this trouser and other constructions in the range.

The waistband is fully elasticated with a functional white drawcord — the white cord reads as a contrast element against the deeper-toned colourways and as a near-tonal detail against the Silver-Gray ground. Two slant side pockets at the hips. A center-front vertical seam line runs down each leg, visible as a construction line rather than a pressed crease.

The logo treatment is a circular printed badge at the right thigh: a black-and-white circular compass rose graphic, printed directly onto the fabric surface rather than applied as a woven or sewn patch. The circular format and printed application distinguish this from other SI badge constructions in the range.

Gray (Heathered Silver-Gray / Marl)

A classic medium-light gray marl ground — the heathered surface produces a multi-tonal reading where white, gray, and pale blue-gray fibers intermix visibly across the face of the fabric. The overall effect is a soft, medium-depth silver-gray with inherent surface variation. The white drawcord sits in near-tonal relationship with the light ground. Circular compass print in black and white at right thigh reads with moderate contrast against the marl base.

Black

Deep black ground in the same heathered cotton-blend construction. At depth, the marl texture is present but subdued — the surface reads as near-solid black with subtle fiber variation visible only at close range. The white drawcord is the primary contrast element, standing clearly against the dark ground. Circular compass print in white and black at right thigh provides additional surface detail.

Silver

A lighter or alternate tone in the same heathered construction. Shares the marl surface character of the Gray colourway with a distinct tone register. White drawcord and circular compass print consistent with the other colourways.
