The outer shell is a high-gloss nylon — a smooth, tightly woven synthetic with a pronounced surface sheen that responds visibly to ambient and directional light. This is not a matte technical fabric or a flat-finish nylon: the surface carries a near-specular quality, meaning it produces distinct highlights and shadow transitions as the garment moves. In the Black colourway this reads most dramatically, with large-scale light reflections shifting across the torso and sleeves. In Gray the same optical property is present but registers as a softer, pearl-silver luminosity rather than a hard shine. In Blue the sheen rides the colour ground, creating surface depth that shifts between the blue base and lighter reflective highlights.

The silhouette is a classic bomber: relaxed through the body, no waist suppression, full-length center-front zip, and the three-point ribbed finish system that defines the form — ribbed stand collar, ribbed cuffs, ribbed hem band. All three ribbed components share the same construction and sit in a contrast relationship to the nylon shell: lighter rib on Gray, matching dark rib on Black. The collar is a short round stand, sitting close to the neck without extending upward.

Two side zip pockets are positioned at the lower waist on each side — functional pockets with zipper pulls, flush to the shell surface. No chest pockets, no interior visible pockets in the exterior view, no drawcord at hem.

The SI compass badge is mounted on the left sleeve at the upper arm: a wristband-style tab in black with the SI gold-yellow compass rose, secured at both ends. This badge construction is consistent across the three colourways — same black ground, same yellow-green compass regardless of jacket colour.

Full black shell. The high-gloss nylon quality is most dramatic in this colourway: large-scale directional highlights shift across the torso and sleeve surfaces as the garment moves, creating a high-contrast interplay between gloss and shadow against the black ground. Ribbed collar, cuffs, and hem in matching dark tone. SI badge at left sleeve — the yellow-green compass is the sole warm-toned element against the all-black surface. Maximum contrast between matt ribbing and gloss shell.

Blue

A medium-depth blue ground in the same high-gloss nylon construction.
