A Stone Island outdoor cargo short in a lightweight cotton or cotton-blend — a smooth, flat-woven fabric with a matte finish and a clean, free-falling drape that positions this short in a more refined outdoor register than the heavier nylon or cotton twill cargo constructions in this range. The fabric weight is light enough to allow the front pleats and outer leg pocket panels to fall and hang freely, producing a relaxed volumetric silhouette through the front body and outer thigh.

This is the only short in this range with front pleats — two vertical comfort pleats that run from the waistband downward through the front body, adding functional volume at the hip and upper thigh and contributing a subtle tailored or workwear quality to the otherwise utility-oriented construction. The waist is finished with a wide elasticated waistband and a single tonal button at the centre front — a button-and-elastic closure without a drawstring, which distinguishes this waist construction from the drawstring-and-snap formats used on the other shorts in this range.

The defining pocket feature is the pair of zip-closure outer leg pockets set into each side of the outer thigh — one per side, with a diagonal orientation and a metal zip closure. On the khaki colourway, the zip pulls are in a brass or gold tone that is clearly visible against the pale ground. On the black colourway, the zip is tonal and sits flush against the dark surface. These are the only zip-secured pockets across all shorts in this range; all other pocket formats use open or flap closures. The leg is finished with a folded turn-up cuff at the hem.

Khaki (Army Khaki / Warm Tan)

A classic army khaki or warm tan — a muted yellow-green-grey that reads as the standard military khaki reference, warm and earthy without being strongly yellow or strongly brown. Deep flat black across the lightweight cotton, with a consistently matte surface that absorbs light evenly across all panels. The zip-closure outer leg pockets are tonal, with dark zip pulls that integrate cleanly into the all-black exterior. The front pleats and elasticated waistband construction read as structural relief against the flat black ground. The compass badge on the right outer leg is a purple compass rose on black ground — a colourway-specific badge that provides a distinctive colour accent on the all-black exterior, and is the third instance of a purple-badge colourway in this Stone Island range.
