There is no cargo pocket structure, no waist hardware, and no decorative treatment: the design is entirely reduced to the essentials of a functional athletic or swim short, with the Stone Island compass badge as the sole brand element.

The waist is finished with a full elasticated waistband and a contrast white drawstring threaded through the centre front, with metal or plastic cord tips at each end. There is no button, snap, or zip at the waist — the elastic-and-drawstring closure is the only fastening, making this the simplest waist construction in this range.
