A Stone Island cargo short in a technical nylon or stretch-nylon shell with the most complex pocket architecture and hardware specification in this Stone Island shorts range. The construction is explicitly techwear or tactical in character: the pocket system uses a double-zip, three-dimensional stacked-pocket format on each outer leg; the waist carries a D-ring metal loop for attachment; and the overall silhouette prioritises functional volume over simplicity. The two colourways use entirely different surface treatments — one carrying an all-over tonal print in white, the other in solid matte black — making them distinct in visual register while sharing the same technical construction.

The waist is finished with a wide elasticated waistband, a drawstring through the centre front, and a D-ring metal loop positioned at the left side of the waistband — a tactical hardware detail for attaching keys, carabiners, or accessories. There is no button or snap at the waist. The front body carries two angled slash pockets at each side. The defining feature is the double-zip 3D stacked cargo pocket on each outer leg: two pockets are stacked vertically per side, with a larger upper pocket and a smaller lower pocket, each with its own independent zip closure. Each zip uses a double zip-pull system — pulls at both ends of the zip for two-directional access. The pockets are structured and three-dimensional, with the pocket body projecting forward from the leg panel and maintaining its form independently of the leg fabric. All details are tonal: the drawstring, zip tapes, and zip pulls are in matching black or dark metal tones, producing an all-dark exterior where the construction reads through volume, shadow, and silhouette rather than contrast. The double-zip stacked cargo pockets are clearly legible against the flat black ground through their three-dimensional projection and zip hardware. The compass badge on the right outer leg is a purple compass rose on black round ground — a circular badge format (distinct from the rectangular badge on the white colourway) and a colourway-specific purple compass, providing the sole colour accent on the all-black construction.
