BAPEBLACK (*A Bathing Ape) is the subdued line within the BAPE family -- no camo, no shark mouth, no graphic saturation. Where the main line builds outward through pattern and print, BAPEBLACK works inward: the same brand identity compressed into construction quality, fabric weight, and a single embroidered mark that most people standing next to you will not be able to read.

This short is stone white -- a cool off-white, closer to bone or natural linen white than to sand or warm beige. 440gsm custom cotton, smooth flat surface, structured and heavy in hand. The fabric does not soften or drape loosely; at 440gsm it holds its shape through wear.

The embroidery on the left thigh is an Ape Head wearing a full feathered headdress -- a more complex and detailed mark than the standard circular Ape Head badge used on the main line shorts. The headdress radiates upward with individual feather strand detail; the face carries the standard Ape Head features beneath it. Embroidery thread is stone-matched to the base fabric: the mark is fully tone-on-tone, readable only through the raised satin-stitch profile and its directional sheen in angled light. In diffuse light or at normal viewing distance, the front panel reads as unmarked.

Waistband: covered elasticated cotton waistband with a drawstring. Interior construction visible in the inner waist: wide ribbed elasticated band with cotton lining, BAPEBLACK / *A Bathing Ape® woven label. Back panel: single horizontal rear pocket, no other markings. The back of this short is entirely clean.
