BAPE Miami 4th Anniversary WGM Shark Full-Zip Double Hood Hoodie — Miami ABC Camo

One City. One Anniversary. One Colourway That Could Only Come From There.

The colour didn’t come from a design brief. It came from a place. The mint green used for the camo patches, the ribbing, the hood trim, and the cuff bands on this piece is the specific green of Miami: the colour of the water at South Beach at midday, of the art deco facades on Ocean Drive, of the light that comes through the trees on Collins Avenue. The pink and hot magenta patches read the same way — neon signs, tropical flowers, the chromatic logic of a city that has never had much use for subtlety. BAPE’s Miami store has been open for four years. This jacket is the reason you knew that.

The WGM appliqué on the crown of the shark hood is not a standard BAPE detail. Three oversized letterpatch blocks — W, G, M, each on its own coloured ground: orange, deep blue-purple, and brick red — are sewn to the top of the hood in a stacked formation. WGM stands for World Gone Mad, the philosophical shorthand that has run under the BAPE brand since its founding: the idea that wearing something this loud, this specific, and this committed to its own logic is a reasonable response to the world outside. Below the letterpatches, a banner appliqué extends the hood graphic. The number 4 appears on the right sleeve, the only place on the jacket that explicitly states the occasion. Everything else communicates it through colour.

The double hood construction remains: inner standard hood, outer shark-face hood with the full-mouth zipper running from hem to apex. The shark face on this version uses the mint green of the jacket as its inner register — the mouth interior picks up the ribbing colour, tying the face to the body of the garment in a way that no other colourway in the collection does. The teeth are white; the gum line is red; the eyes are red iris on white ground. Fully saturated, consistent with the rest of the piece.
