BAPE × Sanrio College T-Shirt — Kuromi / Hello Kitty

Two Sanrio Characters. One BAPE Framework. Four Colourways.

The SS26 BAPE × Sanrio collaboration runs two characters through the same graphic structure: the College logo — arched "A BATHING APE" text with the Ape Head centred below — with four Sanrio figures distributed around the letters. The Kuromi versions carry pink text; the Hello Kitty versions carry red text. Everything else about the format is identical. The two colourway pairs are available within the same product: each one is a distinct collaboration reading, not a minor colour variation.

The Kuromi colourways feature four Kuromi figures — the Sanrio character in her signature black hood with small devil horns and white ruffle trim — in different poses around the graphic: standing, seated, crouching, and gesturing. On the black base, Kuromi's black body partially merges with the ground, creating a graphic that rewards closer inspection; the white ruffle details and the pink text become the primary visible elements at distance. On the white base, Kuromi's black body reads with full clarity against the light ground, and all the character detail — the horn, the ruffle, the face expression — becomes legible. Both Kuromi colourways carry a dedicated Kuromi hang tag (white ground, Kuromi illustration, red Ape Head motif) and a pink ABC Camo secondary hang tag specific to this collaboration.

The Hello Kitty colourways follow the same logic with Hello Kitty's character — white body, red bow, red outfit — in four poses around the same College graphic, with the text switching to red. On the black base, Hello Kitty's red and white elements sit in high contrast against the dark ground, and the red text reads as a unified colour with the character's bow and clothing. On the white base, Hello Kitty's white body blends partially with the ground, bringing the red bow and the red text forward as the dominant elements. Both Hello Kitty colourways carry a dedicated Hello Kitty hang tag and a pink ABC Camo secondary hang tag.
