BAPE Shark Full-Zip Double Hood Camo Hoodie

One Zip. Two Identities.

The BAPE Shark Hoodie was not designed to be subtle. It was designed to be a transformation: zip it to the top and your face disappears inside a shark's mouth — two red-pupil eyes staring out from above the hood, two rows of white serrated teeth framing your jaw, the zipper pull becoming the shark's snout. Leave it open and it is a full-coverage camo hoodie, oversized and clean. The same piece operates in both registers, and you choose which one based on nothing more than where you stop pulling the zip.

The double hood construction is what makes this possible. There is an inner hood that functions as a standard hood — it sits against the head, it provides coverage — and an outer hood that is the shark face: a three-dimensional sculpted structure with the eyes mounted at the crown and the mouth defined by the zipper track running from hem to apex. When zipped, the outer hood closes around the face. When open, it collapses back into the silhouette of the jacket and reads as a regular hoodie with an oversized collar. The architecture is simple. The effect is not.

The camo on all three colourways is full-coverage ABC Camo — the BAPE proprietary pattern, not borrowed from any military source, applied across the body, sleeves, and hood as a continuous print. The Ape Head appears in small format across the body print, embedded within the camo patches, visible on close inspection. On the left sleeve, a circular BAPE woven badge. Ribbed cuffs and hem in the base colour of each colourway.

Three Colourways

• Blue: deep navy, mid blue, and near-black ABC Camo; the coldest and most restrained of the three; the shark face reads as deep blue against dark; navy ribbing at cuffs and hem; the classic BAPE blue camo in its most substantial form — full jacket coverage amplifies the depth of the palette
• Purple: deep purple, bright pink-violet, and royal blue ABC Camo; the highest contrast of the three colourways; the pink and blue patches create visible tension within the camo structure; purple ribbing; the most chromatic option and the furthest from any natural camouflage reference — BAPE's non-military camo at its most expressive
• Red: bright orange-red, deep wine, and dark red-brown ABC Camo; a single warm-toned system across the entire piece; the Ape Head mini-prints are visible within the body panels; red-orange ribbing; the most visually unified of the three — the shark face, body, and camo all exist within the same colour temperature
