Two Camos. One Head.

The 1st Camo is BAPE's original pattern — the foundational camouflage that started everything, the one that was already a landmark before most people outside Japan had heard of A Bathing Ape. For SS25, BAPE uses it in a way that hasn't been done before: two versions of the 1st Camo, split across a single Ape Head. The upper half of the silhouette fills with green-yellow 1st Camo — the warm, classic jungle palette of early BAPE. The lower half fills with grey 1st Camo — cooler, more neutral, a different register of the same pattern. The two halves meet in the middle without a hard edge, the transition point sitting at the midface of the Ape Head. The result is one graphic that reads as two moods simultaneously: warm and cool, classic and restrained, familiar and new. Below the Ape Head, the wordmark "BY BATHING APE" carries the same dual-camo treatment — the letters filled with the same green-yellow-to-grey gradient of the camo above, the typography and the graphic forming one unified colour system. On White, the layered greens and greys sit against a clean base; every camo block is visible, the palette reads at full richness. On Black, the yellow-green range intensifies against the dark ground, while the grey camo partially merges with the base, creating a graphic that appears to have depth and shadow built into it. 280gsm linen-cotton blend fabric, oversized fit, SS25 drop.
