City Camo and forest-green ABC Camo are the two original registers of the BAPE camo system: one derived from concrete and shadow, one from the colour logic of the forest floor. The City Camo colourway on this piece uses a mid-grey base, deep black patches, and white highlight blobs at standard ABC scale — the Ape Head is present in the black patches and visible at close range, but the overall read at distance is achromatic and austere, closer to actual military camouflage than any other configuration in the lineup. The green ABC Camo colourway runs a mid-green base with deep forest-black patches and blue-grey accent blobs, a combination that tilts the green register toward a cooler blue-green rather than a warm olive, and produces one of the most legible and versatile configurations in the ABC Camo canon.

Both colourways belong to the WGM (World Gone Mad) series, the philosophical framework that has defined BAPE’s streetwear output from the beginning: the conviction that committing fully to a specific visual language is a coherent position rather than an eccentric one. The WGM designation is not a sub-brand or a collaboration — it is a statement about intent, applied to pieces that represent the core of what the brand does. A standard-scale full-zip shark double-hood in the two foundational camo palettes is exactly that: the centre of the catalogue, with no additional concept required.
