Stone Island Two-Tone Colour-Block Softshell Hooded Jacket with Compass Badge
Two-Tone Colour-Block. Curved Seam Panel. Softshell Construction. Compass Badge. Three Colours.
A Stone Island softshell hooded jacket built around a two-tone colour-block construction — the jacket is divided horizontally by a curved seam running across the chest, separating the upper body (hood, shoulders, upper chest, and upper sleeves) from the lower body (lower chest, waist, hem, and lower sleeves). Both sections are cut from the same matte softshell fabric — windproof, water-resistant, and abrasion-resistant — but in two distinct tones: the upper body carries the primary colour, and the lower body carries a deeper or darker shade within the same colour register. The result is a structured, graphic colour architecture that reads differently across the three colourways: as high contrast in Blue, as tonal depth in Green, and as surface variation in Black.
The hood is generous and unstructured, carrying the primary upper colour, with a two-cord drawstring at the opening, finished with black cord-locks. The front closure is a full-length zip with a contrast black zip running the full centre front — a deliberate dark accent that anchors the two colour zones. The jacket carries a three-pocket configuration: two angled zip hand pockets at the lower body, positioned symmetrically on each side with black contrast zips, and one flat chest pocket on the upper body, positioned at or near the colour-block seam line. The Stone Island compass rose badge is sewn to the right sleeve. A hem drawcord is integrated into the lower hem, with the cord ends exiting through eyelets at the hem sides. The sleeve is set-in at the standard shoulder line. The silhouette is relaxed and slightly oversized with a dropped shoulder and a straight hem.
Blue (Powder Blue Upper / Dark Slate Lower)
The upper body — hood, shoulders, upper chest, and upper sleeves — is a clear, cool powder blue or cornflower blue: a soft, pale, slightly cool-toned blue with a clean and open quality. The lower body — lower chest, waist, hem, and lower sleeves — is a deep charcoal blue-grey or dark slate: near-dark with a distinct blue undertone. The contrast between the two zones is strong and immediate, with the pale upper and dark lower creating a graphic split that reads clearly at a distance. The contrast black zip and pocket zips read against both panels. The compass badge carries the standard yellow-green graphic on black ground. The highest-contrast and most graphic colourway of the three.
Green (Lime Green Upper / Olive Lower)
The upper body is a bright, warm lime or yellow-green — an energetic, mid-saturated green with a yellow bias, distinct from both pure green and chartreuse, and not fluorescent in register. The lower body is a deep olive or army green — a darker, more muted green with a brown undertone, grounding the brighter upper panel. The contrast between the two zones is softer than in Blue: both panels share the green register, with the upper reading lighter and warmer and the lower reading heavier and more earthy. The compass badge carries the standard yellow-green graphic on black ground; the badge hue is close to the upper body fabric but remains distinguishable against the black badge ground. The most naturalistic and earthy colourway of the three.
Black (Uniform Deep Black / Tonal Panel)
Both the upper and lower body panels are deep black — this is the only colourway in which the two panels share the same colour. The colour-block construction reads through a subtle surface variation or sheen differential between the two panels, with the curved seam line providing the primary legible boundary between zones. In flat or even light, the jacket reads as a unified all-black construction; under directional or raking light, the panel architecture becomes visible through shadow and surface relief. The contrast black zip and pocket zips are fully tonal. The hem drawcord ends are visible at the lower hem. The compass badge carries the standard yellow-green graphic on black ground — the sole colour accent on the all-black exterior. The most restrained and technical-read colourway.
