The wale is broad and clearly defined, sitting between the heavier registers of traditional wide-wale corduroy, with a distinct raised rib and deep groove that catches light differently at each angle and gives the fabric a strong directional character. The corduroy construction adds weight and warmth that positions this shirt as an overshirt or light outer layer rather than a conventional dress shirt.

The collar is a standard point collar in the same corduroy fabric. The front placket closes with a full-length run of snap buttons — dark-tone snap fasteners running from collar to hem, replacing a conventional button-and-loop closure with the cleaner, faster-opening snap format. On the Pink colourway the snap buttons read as a strong dark accent against the pale ground; on the Black they are tonal. Two square chest patch pockets sit at the upper front body on each side, each secured with a snap button at the pocket opening. Deep black across the wide-wale corduroy, with the raised ribs and grooves of the corduroy producing a surface of alternating sheen and shadow — the ribs catch light as a softer, slightly lustrous black while the grooves read as a denser, matte black, giving the all-black surface a quietly textured and dimensional quality. The snap buttons are tonal dark, visible as relief rather than colour contrast. The compass badge is the standard yellow-green on black ground on the left sleeve — the primary colour accent on the all-black exterior.
